Southern Yellow Pine is also referred too as ponderosa pine. It has a very distinct marbling of two very different shades of yellow. Southern Yellow Pine has a very high strength factor and is commonly used in construction for stair stringers and window header which is a shame because beauty is most often covered up with drywall or sheeting. This frame has a beautiful two-tone grain and is fitted with our Grade A Triple Large, garment tanned Beaver Pelt.

Black Walnut is a rare, exotic and expensive wood. This hoop is constructed by laminating 9 individual bands of wood, doweled, glued to give a lifetime of beauty to any setting. This frame has a high gloss finish, which brings out the rich color of the Black Walnut wood.

This frame surprised us when we designed it, thinking that alternating a light colored wood with a dark colored would make it look to loud. How wrong we were. It's a very beautiful hoop and displaying any color beaver pelt well. It's our most popular 3XL hoop.
